The 'SESLHD Oscars': 2025 CORE Awards wrap-up

On Monday 2 June, our District came together at the State Library and online to celebrate our remarkable colleagues in style.

The 2025 SESLHD CORE Awards were a great success and an opportunity to recognise the teams and individuals who go above and beyond every day. You can see the full list of winners here.

“This year we had 277 nominations across our 17 award categories. This is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to our staff and the incredible work we have delivered over the last year,” said Chief Executive, Tobi Wilson.

"The evening was a remarkable celebration, highlighting the exceptional contributions within our District. These individuals are reshaping healthcare, fostering a supportive and dynamic workplace for their peers, and making meaningful contributions to our community."

The 17 awards recognise excellence across all parts of our District, from excellence in preventative healthcare to patient safety, to research and diversity and inclusion. Our nominators and colleagues paid tribute to the winners of each award in a series of heartfelt videos. SESLHD was also privileged to welcome NSW Health Secretary, Susan Pearce AM, who delivered an opening address and presented the CORE Values in Action award.

"Our CORE Award winners have earned rightful recognition for their exceptional contributions," said SESLHD Director of People and Culture, Fiona Fahey.

"I would also like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to the winners and nominees, and express my sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the celebrations, whether in person or online."

Keep an eye out on our SESLHD social media channels and upcoming editions of On the Pulse, where we will be profiling more of our CORE Awards winners.
